In order to create a perfect box, you must be aware of the size of your product. The following guide will assist you in determining your product’s measurements.
Your product dimensions are determined by finding three measurements as follows:
Having the properly measured dimensions makes the rest of the process easy in manufacturing a box for your product. Having said that, let’s talk about how to measure the perfect box.

Now that we’ve cleared that up let’s begin with the measurements.
How to measure a rectangular product?
In order to measure a rectangular product, you’d need to know of 3 things in particular. It’s length, height/depth, and width. To demonstrate, we have used a phone.
To ensure accurate length, make sure the product is laid out flat, and the ends are perfectly aligned with inches-tape or a scale if you have one. This will ensure the most accurate length measurement possible, as shown above in the image. And in our case, it was 5.9 inches.
The width of a rectangular product can be measured by placing it on a flat surface and measuring it from front to back. And in our case, it was 2.7 inches.
To determine the depth or height of your product, you would need to place it down and measure from bottom to top, as shown in the image above. The height of the object that we measured was 0.3 inches.
Now that you have all the measurements, you can add 2mm or 0.078 inches to each side to manufacture a perfect box for your product.
How to measure a spherical product?
Having trouble measuring a spherical product? It’s not as hard as it might seem. You can measure the dimension of your round product either by using a scale or a vernier Caliper.
In case you have a scale, this is how you will be able to measure your product.
In order to measure the height of your spherical product, you have to lay it down on a flat surface, and then you can measure its height. And in our case, it was 4.2 inches.
You can measure the length and width of your spherical product by placing it straight, as shown above.
Now when you have all the measurements ready, add 2mm or 0.078 inches to create a perfect custom box for your spherical product.
How to measure your product with Vernier Caliper?
A Vernier Caliper allows you to determine your spherical product’s exact diameter and height faster than usual, allowing you to complete the measurement process faster.
To determine the height of your product, you would need to place the product horizontally, as shown above. Our measurement was performed with a digital vernier, and the height of the product was 4.22 inches.
Your product’s diameter can be determined using a vernier caliper by placing it vertically in the caliper and measuring it, as shown above in the image. In our case, the diameter was 1.30 inches.
Now when we have the desired dimension from the vernier caliper, add 2mm or 0.078 inches to create a box with a perfect fit for your product.
